Payment

Payments are taken via an invoice that will be sent to you via PayPal*.

*If you are unable to use PayPal, please let me know so we can work out an alternative means of payment.

I require full payment up-front if you are chosen for a commission slot. If you are chosen, you will receive an invoice alongside an email informing you of your selection. I require invoice payment within 48 hours, unless otherwise stated.

If you are chosen and cannot make the payment in the initial 48 hour period, please contact me and we can work out a payment period that will work for you, as long as it is made before the 1st of the following month. If you cannot make the payment by the 1st of the following month, you will be removed from the current consideration and the invoice will be cancelled.

If you have questions regarding the payment or invoice, please contact me directly.

I do not begin work until your payment has been received and processed.

All prices are in USD.

If you would like to leave a tip after the commission is complete, you may send a gift payment to the email listed in the invoice. You can also include a tip on the invoice before payment. Tips are not required, but are always appreciated!

Work in Progress Updates

All commissions come with a Work in Progress. WIPs are sent out after initial sketches are complete to allow the commissioner to confirm that the art is correct before work is continued on your piece.

Please do not publicly post WIPs - they are intended to serve as a way to improve the final art and to better align my ideas to that of the commissioner.

After you receive the WIP update, you may request edits to the art. Minor edits (limb positioning, facial expression, etc) will be done for free, as well as anything that I may have missed from the information you have provided. Any major edits (redrawing a large portion of the image or edits based on information not included in the initial application) will come with a small fee based on the time it will take to complete the edits. This fee must be paid before edits are made!

If you request substantial edits, I may elect to send a second WIP for confirmation. If you have requested any amount of edits, you may request that I send a second WIP for confirmation as well.

Once the WIP sketch is confirmed, I can proceed to complete the artwork.  If I have not received a response to the WIP email within 48 hours, I may need to halt progress until I have received a response from you. I will send a second reminder after 48 hours. If a response is not received after a reasonable amount of time,  the commission will be considered canceled and a refund will be issued, by which the amount refunded will be determined by the amount of work that has been completed to that point.

You may request edits at any time after the WIP sketch is complete but before the commission is finalized.  Any edits requested after the WIP sketch is confirmed will be subject to the same rules as previous edits.

Commissioner and Artist Rights

As the artist, I retain full copyright to all images created unless otherwise specified through an official agreement (requiring signatures of both parties). I retain the rights to post commissioned images to any of my galleries, reproduce the images for sale online or at conventions or to otherwise use the image commercially in prints, digital art collections, books, etc.

Rights to the original characters remain with their owners, where trademarked.

As a client, you receive the rights to post the commissioned images anywhere you'd like for personal non-commercial non-profit purposes, as long as you credit me as the artist.

Clients have the right to reprint images in limited quantities for personal use. This includes printing for home display, printing to use as a badge or a small number of physical stickers (less than 6).

Clients do not have the right to mass produce and distribute the art for free (Ex: >5 stickers, prints or business cards) without properly and prominently displaying appropriate credit on each item. If you wish to mass produce my artwork for free distribution you must first contact me and seek written permission.

Clients do not have the rights to grant permission to printers or manufacturers to mass produce (5+) physical reproductions of the art unless specified in an official legal document we have previously negotiated and signed. If you would like to pursue such a printing, please contact me.

Clients retain the right to edit artwork by cropping and resizing for personal use (Ex: Icons, avatars, banners). Any other edits are prohibited. If you would like to either make significant edits to a completed piece, or would like me to make significant edits to a finished piece, please contact me! I am happy to negotiate changes to previously completed artwork (within reasonable limits) undertaken either by myself (at a reasonably negotiated fee) or by yourself. Edits are limited to art completed within the last year.

Clients do not have the right to approve others to edit my art unless previously discussed with me.

Clients do not have the rights to working files of the commissioned artwork. I do not distribute working files to clients.

Clients do not have the rights to use any part of the commissioned artwork for Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

Clients do not have the rights to use any part of the commissioned artwork for AI “artwork” generators or any piece of software that generates “artwork” in the style of myself or any other artist.

I, the artist, will never take credit or claim copyright to characters that I did not design, and when possible will credit the original creators.

Edits on Completed Work

If you wish to make edits to completed works to your commission after it is completed, please contact me. You are not required to wait for a commission opening to request an edit.

Edits involving something I missed within the details supplied in the application will be provided free-of-charge. I will do my best to give you an accurate date that the edits will be completed.

If an edit involves details not provided in the initial application, a reasonable fee will be charged for the editing work. I do retain the right to refuse edits to pieces in which I feel the edit would not be reasonable to make to a completed piece.

Any edits involving style conflicts or issues will be refused. Edits are limited to artwork completed within the last year.

Refunds

If I have begun the commission process and you decide you would like to stop it, please let me know as soon as possible. I understand that issues can arise suddenly and I am more than happy to work with you if such an event occurs.

If I have not begun work on your commission, a full refund will be made. If I have begun the commission, you will receive a partial refund based on the work that has already been completed.

If you cancel your commission and receive a full refund, you can reapply for a commission at a future time, and will be subject to the same rules as all commissioners in terms of selection.

If severe life circumstances arise that limit your ability to continue with a commission, please contact me and I will do my best to negotiate a solution that will work best for all parties involved.

Refunds will be delivered within 24 hours of their request.
